- Terrie- The card that I did was done with the Cricut (I have both the Big and Baby Bugs) and the Cricut Solutions cartridge-Indie Art. If you don't have one, let me know and I will try to get some out to you. :)
The coloring part of the butterfly was done using the technique Tim Holtz shared on his blog: http://www.timholtz.com/demos.html. Go to the demo that is called "Alcohol Ink Splatter". He used the new Lights and Brights collection colors, but I used the old colors (wild plum, cranberry, eggplant, stream, denim, silver mixative)...if they are too dark for your taste..just use some blending solution and it will lighten a bit. :) You put two to three drops of A.I. on your glossy and then spray it with canned air (the stuff used to clean computers (walmart for $4.64)). The A.I. will "splatter" giving you the look I have on my card. :)
I also used rose bud and new sprout Memento Dew Drops ink pads. :) If you don't have those....let me know what you do have and I will try to find colors that will work. :)
