Hey experts! My latest layout, I think needs something on the bottom of one of the pages for weight purposes but if I add something it seems it would mess up my visual triangle. Would you all take a look and let me know what you think? The page on the left is the one I think may need something on the bottom. I am just now trying to do some pages with white space and for some reason it is hard for me to leave white space!! Thanks in advance!
It is the layout called "Flower Girl".
Hi Terrie, I will start off by saying that I am no expert! But I think I would want to make some kind of accent using the pink foil that you used for the inital letters in your title, and I would want to place it on the lower section of the left hand page, bridging the "barrier" of white along the bottom of that page. That would effectively give you two visual triangles - one created by the three flowers, and the other formed by the three pink foil items.
I am sure others will have different ideas - one of the things i love about scrapbooking is that there is no "correct" answer, although some solutions are more suitable than others!
Hi Susan,
thanks so much for your suggestion...I really like it! I was thinking about placing it a third of the way over from the left hand side....but do you think it should overlap in to the white strip. I'm thinking about placing a flower on top of the X with the X sideways. It kind of looks like ribbons behind the flower. Thanks again!
No expert either... That's a great laout maybe in the emplty tan space, put the flower girl's name and prinkle some flower petals over and around it, depicting the flowers she was sprinkling, include some petals using the purple foil.
I see a linear rub-on creating a horizontal line through that white space on the left, and running to the midpoint of the "g" in "girl" (or perhaps even continuing on the other side of that word as well.)
Beautiful layout! There are some great suggestions here and I'll add another one (nice to have multiple options!). I think I would add some subtle stamping or text in a line that goes from the left edge all the way to the title word on the right. It would be in line with your big word, so the line of text or stamping would lead to that word.
For example, I might use ink the same color or just slightly darker than the color as the paper and stamp an image in a line overa nd over again (or alternative between a few images). Or I'd make a line of text with words related to the story or additional journaling. Whatever it was, it would be subtle so it doesn't attract a lot of attention but does add some additional weight and would create a visual triangle between the two title words.
I had similar thought to Noell - the title needed something to make it seem more a part of the main photo section. Something very subtle but would carry your eye from side to side.
It's perfect colors for the theme & I love the thin thread lines
