Has anyone ever altered giant clothespins? I bought a couple at my local craft store for $1 each and i'm trying to find some cute ideas to embellish them, other than just adding paper and some ribbon. I've found a few of them with circle or scalloped circles on them or flowers. Just trying to get some different ideas for them. I'm going to give them as gift and they'll be for holding recipes so i know I want the word recipe to be on it. I also want it to be decorated for all year around use.
anyone ever made one? or have any ideas for them? Thanks!
Funny, I haven't been on here in weeks, but just stopped by quick while working on some giant clothespins. I'll post some photos after I get them done. Yours look great.
We actually make altered clothespins and sell them. Here is one that we did. We had so much fun making them during Christmas. We made sets for place card holders and customized them with favorite colors and monograms. They are very addictive! Have fun!
These are all adorable! I've been wanting to play with these, too...
Here's an option I've considered: Use some gesso as a base and then your favorite (inexpensive) acrylic color (craft paint is perfect!). Then, use stencils to make designs. Finally, use some of your stash to add finishing touches.
